Welcome!
This web site portrays my engagement with Oriental Medicine and Philosophy and in particular with Acupuncture, Bodywork and Liuhebafa so that you can decide when, how and if they can help you.
The section “Clinical Practice” will help you familiarise with my style of practice and contains a list of the most frequently asked questions about acupuncture treatments. If you are interested in knowing more about the philosophical and theoretical foundations of my practice visit the section “Oriental Medicine“.
Illness is endemic to life. Animals get ill, plants get ill and human beings get ill too.
However humans are the only creatures making the conscious effort to end illness.
That effort is called compassion and makes humanity the link between Heaven and Earth.
– MASTER JEFFREY JUEN
This website is also a way to acknowledge and honour the people who brought me where I am now: my father (Dr. Davide Basagni), my liuhebafa teacher (Master John Shadow), my wife Elisabetta and all my Chinese medicine teachers at the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) and with them the ancient philosophers who – more than 2000 years ago – developed the elegant and sophisticated ideas at the root of the practice of Oriental Medicine.
My mission is to follow their footsteps on the path to compassion, gentleness and benevolence that ends at the heart of human being, fulfilling the ultimate aspiration of Oriental Medicine: yangsheng 養生 (to nourish and protect life).
If you are considering treatment and would first like to gather more information or if you are interested in any other aspect of my work, please feel free to contact me.
